The Album

Johnny Physical Lives is a story about how music transformed Jonathan Neuman’s battle with cancer. The fact is, that music has the power to transform the lives of young people everywhere under all sorts of challenging circumstances. That’s the message behind a 12-song album of Johnny Physical covers performed by 12 different indie rock bands that we will be producing in the forthcoming year to benefit the musical programs of 501c3, MUSACK.

MUSACK was founded by writer-producer Donick Cary with a simple vision, to fund musical programs for his hometown high school on Nantucket Island. MUSACK’s mission is to provide a space where kids can tell their stories through music. Now with programs in Los Angeles (and guitar labs in the works for kids in Haiti and Klamath Falls Indian Reservation), it’s vision is to create a generation of musically empowered, entreprenurial geniuses who will go on to create the next Apple, Netflix, or “Blitzkrieg Bop.”

Please check back here for more details in the forthcoming months.
